Nick and I have started dog sitting for Maria. Maria has 6 dogs. 5 are dashounds and one is a very large german shepherd. We feed the dogs routinely on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. When Maria travels for work we will feed and care for them too. Bullet is the german shepherd. He's a guard dog. We spent several days getting Bullet to like us. After quite a few visits, he's finally happy to see us. Nick has won over the dogs by playing with them. They love that he spends time with them and pays attention to them. Fenway just wants to play catch all the time. Bullet wants to play tug-o-war and Leo just wants to sit on your lap. Monty is a bit grumpy. He's been known to bite, so we give him lots of room. Yesterday, Monty jumped up on the sofa and started giving Nick kisses! We were so surprised. Honey and Fiona are the girls. They love the belly rubs Nick gives them!
This has turned out to be a great "first job" for Nick. He's having fun, learning responsiblity, and getting paid for it.
