The Crimson won last night! 17-8. It was a nice night for the game except it got really cold. My feet were freezing! Nick had a nice hit his first at-bat. He hit a fly ball deep into center field. It was a double. There were 4 other at-bats where Nick was walked. He scored a few runs too. Another inning, Nick helped out the right fielder to keep a deep fly ball from being a home run and keept it to a double. Man, that kid can hustle! He ran over to right field so fast and got the ball and threw to 2nd. The kid at 2nd knew it was coming and was prepared. Great job boys!
The next game is on Sunday evening. Hopefully it'll be a warmer game.
Oh, I almost forgot, Nick pitched one inning last night. No one scored and he got all the kids that batted out. Great job, Nick! Jeff was rotating all of the pitchers last night and let them all pitch. So Nick only pitched one inning. That's ok. It gave Jeff a good idea of the pitchers' skills and where to put them in the order. We look forward to more great pitching by Nick at future games.
