We started the day at Home Depot. We rented the truck and bought 7 white pine trees for the backyard. Then we were off to Windy-Lo Nursery to buy 5 river birches for the front yard. It was hot and humid. What a day for tackling this project! We decided that the trees were a priority to get planted. So the three of us worked hard all afternoon to get them in the ground. Nick really enjoyed pulling roots and digging the holes. The sun was hot and intense. A small storm blew through at 5pm so we took the opportunity to rest and cool off while we waiting for it to pass. Nick went over to the neighbors house for a swim while Jeff finished up planting the last two trees. It was a full day. We're hot, tired, and sore. But it was a great Father's Day!
